Our aims are to develop and foster football within West Lothian for all age groups as defined by the Scottish Youth Football Association (SYFA). We are affiliated to the Eastern Youth Football Region, which is also affiliated to the SYFA. In contrast to other Associations and the negative outlook generally potrayed regarding participation in football, we continue to grow both in terms of numbers and status and for season 2009-10 we now administer for 6 age groups (13's, 14's, 15's, 16's, 17's and 19's) encompassing over 110 11-a-side teams and over 2000 players and officials. We are also aided by a dedicated number of referees without whom we would have no league football. With over 3 1/4 million site hits in the last season alone, this site is intended to inform you of the latest information regarding our Association, including News, Fixtures, Results and League Tables and we hope that you find this information useful. Please take the time to visit our message board where you can post your own comments.
Touchline Shouting
Touchline shouting, that's all I ever hear,
I'm so confused and filled with fear.
I'm only ten years old and football should be fun,
But with all this noise I don't know which way to run.
"Get back in defence!" my manager shouts.
Dad shouts, "Get up front and deal with these louts!"
Loud mouth supporter, who knows all the rules.
(He takes the rest of us for fools)
Shouts, "What are you doing lad? Your head's in a spin!"
Is it any surprise, with all this din?
I am only a boy, so why do you all try to destroy, what I'd love to enjoy?
FOOTBALL SHOULD BE FUN!
