PUFC have games lined up against Salvesen, Bonnybridge and Tynecastle. Should help the lads get back up to speed while helping the new lads settle in before the season starts proper.

:21

How did you go tonight?

got bet 2-1 of a really good broxburn team, i was very impressed with they way they moved the ball around, we still had chances to win the game hitting the post and the bar and also having a goal disallowed but if im honest i think they just deserved to win

Wouldn't be too concerned Kris. Friendlies are more about getting back into it before the competative games kick in, Players, positions and set ups often differ from those actually played so it's always difficult to read anything into friendly results. I tend to think they don't count for much apart from coaches seeing what works and what doesn't and the lads getting a leg stretch!

Good luck for the season.

Pumpherston 95 5 (1) Salvesen BC 3 (1).

A good game this morning in warm sunshine (what happened to that!).

Salvesen opened the scoring early on however, a very even first period saw Pumpherston draw level before half time. Into the second half and Pumpherston scored 3 quick goals in succession followed by a fourth half way through before Salvesen added two to their own tally to provide a tight finish to the game.

Well played both teams. Solid performances from the new Pumphy lads! :21

Pumpherson United 3 (2) Bonnybridge Youth FC 2 (1).

Pumpherston United opened the scoring within the first few minutes and stretched their lead 30 minutes later before Bonnybridge pulled 1 back 7 minutes from the end of the first half. Bonnybridge Youth were unlucky not to be level, having a goal chalked off for off side.

Into the second half and it was Pumpherston who took the lead again with 15 minutes to go, keeping the narrow advantage until the final whistle. Bonnybridge Youth FC are a well organised, fit squad with plenty of ability (probably one of the best passing teams I've watched over the past few seasons) and the result could have gone either way. An encouraging win for Pumpherston who worked hard for their win.

Thanks to Bonnybridge Youth FC for a very good game, played in a great spirit. All the best going forward :thumbr
