Fauldhouse Foxes win Scotish cup

THREE WLAYFC TEAMS IN SCOTTISH CUP FINALS
Four of the SYFA’s seven Scottish Challenge Cup Finals take place this week-end (April 30th / May 1st) at the Excelsior Stadium home of Airdrie United FC. The WLAYFC is well represented with 3 teams reaching the deciding ties.
The 13s game between Fauldhouse Foxes and Syngenta Juveniles (KO 1pm – Saturday 30th April) sees history being made with the first ever all WLAYFC Scottish Cup Final. Syngenta Juveniles have had a remarkable season to date by also reaching both County and Regional Cup finals (both in May), still heavily involved in the “A” league championship race with the Jim Brady Cup still to come! Fauldhouse Foxes have also reached the County Cup Final, are in league title contention and have also progressed to the latter stages of the Jim Brady Cup. The teams have met once this season in a close fought league match with Syngenta coming out on top 3-2.
An intriguing and highly competitive match is in store for sure. Good luck to everyone involved.
The Under 19s final on Sunday May 1st (KO 3.45pm) features WLAYFC outfit Whitburn FCA who face Bonnyton Thistle FC. Whitburn have also reached the County Cup Final and are still very much in the mix for the 19s league title.
The WLAYFC would like to wish all three sides the best of luck and good fortune and hope they all enjoy their big day out.
Admission prices are £4.00 adults and £1.00 kids/OAPs – this gives entry to the two finals on each day. Other games are; Saturday 30th April, a 3.30pm KO for Celtic BC v Campsie Black Watch (21s) and on Sunday 1st May a 1.00pm KO for Goldenhill BC v Banks O’Dee Albion (17s)
